Romantik Hotel Santer is located around 50 m from the Nordic Arena in Toblach (Dobbiaco), the starting point for around 200 km of Dolomiti NordicSki trails, the largest cross-country skiing carousel in Europe. Cross-country skiing in Toblach offers the right track for everyone. Whether you stand the first time on the skis, train for ski marathons, want to push yourself to your limits on the FIS-standardised tracks or prefer to glide late at night on the lit night track: cross-country skiing in Toblach is uniquely beautiful. The Nordic Arena is the ideal starting point to explore the trails of the Hochpustertal. From here you can decide to go in three different directions: to Cortina on the old railway, to the beautiful Braies Valley or to Sexten/Val Fiscalina. In the Nordic centre you can find the ski school to rent ski equipment or to take your first ski lesson.
As venue for international World Cup races, in particular the Tour de Ski, Toblach guarantees snow and perfectly prepared tracks. Every year two internationally renowned public cross-country skiing events take place: the Gran Fondo Dobbiaco-Cortina and the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon.
The Santer family shares the passion of cross-country skiing and biathlon. All 3 daughters of the house, known as the Santer Sisters (Nathalie, Saskia and Stephanie), were members of the Italian national team and have experienced great success!
