The most colourful and atmospheric season of the year welcomes you with many surprises

Have you ever admired the spectacle of Lake Braies in autumn? And have you taken a hike at dawn? Nature dresses itself in fiery colours and invites you to walks and hikes through meadows and forests. Lake Braies in autumn is a spectacle, but it is in fact a spectacle in every season. Set in the Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park, it is famous for being the setting for the beloved TV series “Un passo dal Cielo” with Terence Hill. And remember: Since 2010, the Grand Hotel just a few metres from Hotel Santer has been the venue for concerts performed by real music stars and artists from the current music scene. In July, for example, the Gustav Mahler Music Weeks have taken place since 1981, and in September the Dolomiti Festival.

The cross-country skiing paradise of Dobbiaco is one of the snowiest places in Italy, and the first kilometres of trails are guaranteed with artificial snow. Perfect for getting outdoors, enjoying the fresh, pure air, and having fun with skiing, cross-country skiing, sledging, hiking and snowshoeing, ski touring and snowmen. The Landro Valley is a winter wonderland. The Nordic Arena cross-country skiing stadium is located opposite the hotel and several kilometres of groomed cross-country skiing trails start here every day. All starting directly from Hotel Santer. In the evenings, in front of the crackling fireplace, you can enjoy cheerful company or stroll through the stalls of the Christmas market.

All year round, Toblach hosts a series of dream events

Winter skiing in Toblach. International cross-country skiing events are a regular feature. World Cup races are included in the Tour de Ski circuit. Fans of Nordic skiing will also love the Nordic Arena.
Don't miss the two Granfondo events: Pustertaler Ski Marathon and Toblach-Cortina Cross-Country Run await you on the first weekend in February. And, also in January: The skies of Toblach are coloured with the Balloon Festival for a whole week. You can also treat yourself to a colourful flight with the Dolomiti Balloon Festival.
December is the month of the Christmas market 'Christmas under the Three Peaks' and the parade of the cute little devils (Krampus) with St Nicholas.

Tobalch’s summer lights up thanks to music. The Gustav Mahler Music Weeks bring you thrilling concerts featuring the most beautiful works of the famous composer, who loved to spend long periods in our land. The event has existed since 1981 and was initiated by Herbert Santer together with other music lovers. In addition, September hosts the South Tyrol Festival with the stars of the music scene, also internationally.
Sporting events? Running with the legendary Cortina-Toblach Run in June and the traditional night march with a big village festival in August.
