Composer Gustav Mahler's cottage
The famous composer Gustav Mahler stayed at the Trenkerhof in Altschluderbach in the summers from 1908 to 1910 and created the 'Ninth Symphony', the unfinished 'Tenth Symphony' and 'Das Lied von der Erde' in the cottage on our private property.
About this nest he said: 'It is wonderful here and it certainly repairs body and soul...'. This sentence can be found in the entrance area of the hotel.
The cottage can be visited:
July - August 2023: every Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. (detailed programme).
14.07. - 29.07.2023 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. (as part of the Gustav Mahler Music Weeks).
The Mahler Natural Sound Park is open daily in summer from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
