DOLOMITES - World Natural Heritage

The Dolomites and the Three Peaks of Lavaredo in Dobbiaco in the Alta Pusteria Valley as World Natural Heritage

On 26th June 2009 the UNESCO declared the Dolomites in and around the area of South Tyrol to World Natural Heritage. Therefore, also the Three Peaks of Lavaredo in Dobbiaco in the Alta Pusteria Valley that are situated very close to the Romantik Wellness Hotel Santer, form part of the 199 most beautiful landscapes in the whole world.
At the nomination of the Dolomites as World Natural Heritage the aesthetic beauty of the alpine landscape, the great variety of flora and fauna as well as the natural parks such as the Natural Park Fanes Sennes Prags and the Natural Park Sextner Dolomites of which most parts have been under protection for decades,  have been particularly highlighted.
